DCNE-6.6KW charger CAN BUS, connecting with the battery BMS CAN.

1. Customer: We don’t see a section that allows us to set current or voltage. All we saw is have the ability to turn it on or off. Please confirm how can we set current or voltage.
DCNE: For our 6.6KW charger it can with or without CAN commnication. It is based on the battery. If the battery without CAN communication, then we will not set CAN in our charger, we only set the lowest and higher voltage according to the battery. When customer get the charger, he can use it directly and no need to set the charger. If the battery with CAN communication, then we not only set the lowest and highest voltage but also will set CAN in our charger. When customer get the charger, he can use direstly or he can also set the charger with their debugging software. Attached I send you a  testing vedio of our 6.6 KW charger with CAN communication.

2. Customer: Also, how does the charger communicate with the battery?
DCNE: For lithium battery it with BMS, some suppliers will set CAN communication on BMS and some suppliers won’t set CAN communication on BMS. If the battery with CAN communication, then our chargers will set CAN communication. We will send our customer our CAN protocol to confirm battery and our charger are with the same CAN communication, then it can match and work.

3. Customer: How do we set charge profile?  Charger has no User Interface for programming parameters.
DCNE:  For our chargers, customer no need to set the charge profile. We set our charger’s charging mode with three stage: constant current, constant voltage and small constant current intelligence.

4. Customer: If we would like to use our controller, what can DCNE do to make it work with your charger?  We must record charge/discharge data in our controller.
DCNE: The charger is only worked with the battery, which has nothing to do with the controller.  Customers can get the charging and discharging data through the battery BMS.

5. Please see below how the charger CAN works with battery CAN protocal.
